lowa pea salad recipe

Ingredients
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon of powdered sugar,
2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar,
1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt,
1/8 teaspoon of pepper,
4 cups of peas that have been thawed.
1/2 cup diced red onion
3/4 cup cubed sharp cheddar cheese (about the same size as the peas)
8 bacon slices, cooked crispy and broken up
instructions
Put the mayo, sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper in a big bowl.
Add the sour cream and whisk to mix.
Put the peas, onion, cheese, and bacon in the bowl and gently stir to mix everything together.
Put in the fridge at least an hour before serving.
NOTES: You can keep leftover food in the fridge for up to three days if you put it in a jar that can be sealed. I don’t think you should freeze this salad, though. It won’t hold together well, and the bacon and peas will get too soft when they thaw.
