Mushroom and Garlic Spaghetti Dinner

Ingredients:

  • 1 Package of Spaghetti
  • 1 Package of Mushrooms (Sliced)
  • 4 tbsp salted Butter (Divided into two equal pieces)
  • 1 ½ tsp Garlic (Minced)
  • ½ tsp Kosher Salt
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper
  • ¾ cup Parmesan Cheese (Grated)

Ingredients for Garnish:

  • Fresh Parsley

Directions:

  1. Step 1. Fill a large pot with water.
  2. Step 2. Add salt and bring the water to boiling.
  3. Step 3. Follow the remaining instructions from the back of the spaghetti package.
  4. Step 4. Before draining the water from the pot, set aside ¼ cup of the pasta water.
  5. Step 5. Add two tablespoons of butter to a large skillet set on medium-high heat.
  6. Step 6. Stir in the sliced mushrooms, cooking for 4-5 minutes until they begin to turn a golden brown.
  7. Step 7. Add in the minced garlic, stirring as they are being added. Continue to stir for a minute. Salt and pepper as needed.
  8. Step 8. Reduce the heat on the stove to low.
  9. Step 9. Add in two more tablespoons of butter.
  10. Step 10. Stir when adding in the pasta, reserved water and cheese. Use tongs to toss the pasta until it is coated in the sauce.
  11. Step 11. Taste test to season as needed.
  12. Step 12. Toss before serving. Spoon the spaghetti in single serving bowls.
  13. Step 13. Garnish with Parmesan cheese.
