Date Chocolate Mousse

This rich, silky date chocolate mousse is naturally sweetened, deeply chocolatey, and unbelievably easy to make with just 3 ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 150 g dark chocolate (70–85%), chopped
  • 12 soft Medjool dates, pitted (about 200 g)
  • 420 ml boiling water (1¾ cups)
  • Extra chopped dark chocolate, for garnish
  • Sliced Medjool dates, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the pitted Medjool dates in a heatproof bowl and scatter the chopped dark chocolate over the top.
  2. Pour in the boiling water and let everything soak for 10 minutes so the dates soften and the chocolate melts.
  3. Transfer the entire mixture to a blender and blend until completely smooth, thick, and glossy.
  4. Taste and blend again if needed for an ultra-silky texture, scraping down the sides as necessary.
  5. Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls, then chill for at least 1 hour to thicken further.
  6. Top with chopped chocolate and sliced dates before serving.

Tip: For the smoothest mousse, use very soft Medjool dates and blend while the mixture is still warm.
