Creamy Blue Moon Ice Cream

This creamy Blue Moon ice cream is smooth, lightly sweet, and beautifully bright blue for a fun homemade frozen treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream, cold
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 6-8 drops blue food coloring
  • 1-2 drops violet food coloring (optional, for a deeper Blue Moon shade)
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, vanilla extract, almond extract, lemon extract, corn syrup, and salt until smooth.
  2. Add the blue food coloring and the optional violet food coloring, mixing until you get a bright, even Blue Moon color.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until it reaches soft peaks.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the blue mixture until fully combined and creamy, being careful not to deflate it too much.
  5. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  6. Transfer the churned ice cream to a loaf pan or freezer-safe container, smooth the top, and cover tightly.
  7. Freeze for 4-6 hours, or until firm enough to scoop.
  8. Scoop and serve on its own or with sprinkles for an extra fun finish.

Tip: For the best Blue Moon flavor, keep the almond and lemon extracts light and balanced so the ice cream stays sweet, creamy, and subtly fruity instead of overpowering.
