Chocolate Banana Protein Cake

This soft, moist chocolate banana protein cake is naturally sweetened, deeply chocolatey, and loaded with wholesome ingredients for the perfect healthy treat.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 cup chocolate or vanilla protein powder
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease or line an 8-inch loaf pan or small cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth. Whisk in the eggs, Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add the protein powder, cocoa powder, oat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir gently until a thick batter forms, then fold in the chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top evenly.
- Bake for 28-35 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
- Serve as is, or top with a spoonful of Greek yogurt and extra banana slices for an extra protein boost.
Tip: Use very ripe bananas with lots of brown spots for the sweetest flavor and best moist texture without needing extra sweetener.
