Fudgy Chocolate Brownies

These ultra-fudgy chocolate brownies have a crackly top, rich cocoa flavor, and irresistibly gooey centers.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup (90 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup (175 g) semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until glossy. Add the eggs and vanilla, then whisk until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir gently until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 28-35 minutes, until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan, then lift them out and cut into squares for clean edges and fudgy centers.
Tip: For the fudgiest texture, don’t overbake—pull them out when the center still looks slightly soft, then let them finish setting as they cool.
