Healthy Banana Brownies

These healthy banana brownies are rich, fudgy, and naturally sweetened with banana for an easy chocolate fix.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a small baking dish or loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Add the bananas, peanut butter, cocoa powder, honey, baking powder, Greek yogurt, egg, salt, and vanilla extract to a blender or food processor.
  3. Blend until completely smooth and thick, then fold in half of the chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
  5. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, until the center is just set and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing for the fudgiest texture.

Tip: Use very ripe bananas with lots of brown spots for the sweetest flavor and best brownie texture.
