Homemade Chocolate Bar

This glossy homemade chocolate bar is rich, velvety, and incredibly easy to make with just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (50 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (110 ml) coconut oil, melted
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) raw honey
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) vanilla extract, optional
  • Pinch of sea salt, optional
  • Extra flaky sea salt for topping, optional

Instructions

  1. Add the cocoa powder to a bowl and slowly whisk in the melted coconut oil until the mixture is completely smooth and glossy.
  2. Stir in the raw honey until fully combined and no streaks remain.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt, if using, for extra flavor.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture into a silicone chocolate bar mold or a small parchment-lined container.
  5. Tap the mold gently on the counter to remove air bubbles, then sprinkle with a little flaky sea salt if desired.
  6. Place in the refrigerator or freezer until fully set and firm, about 30-60 minutes.
  7. Unmold the chocolate bar, break or slice into pieces, and store chilled for the best texture.

Tip: Because coconut oil melts easily, keep your chocolate bar in the fridge or freezer so it stays firm and snappy.
